      Horror? Crime? Or Something Else?

This book is different than the other Stephen King novels I've read. It's not straight up horror (though one can imply that there could be inklings of it). It's not really a crime novel either (though again it could be suggested). This is not a book for those who like definitive endings because it leaves a lot up to the imagination of the reader. If you watched the TV show Haven, which was based on this book, I still recomend it because only a few of the characters from the book were actually put into the show and those who were are drastically different. If you haven't seen the show yet I highly recomend reading the book first, though really switching the order won't add or detract anything in my opinion.

    • Something a Bit Different from King

This is a novella rather than a full novel. Or maybe it's because I'm so used to King's epics that anything short of 500 pages is a novella. If you are a Stephen King fan (which I am) you will find it somewhat different than his usual fare, As always well written but after a buildup leaves you kind of flat like a soda that has lost its effervescence.

    • I suffer from Kingoholism, I'm collecting everything I can

Book arrived as advertised, and quicker than expected. Nice to have another copy for my collection.

    • Disappointing.

We’re watching Haven on Netflix and the book isn’t nearly as good as the series. Sorry, Stephen King!
