    Great Cordless Grinder

    I am hard on tools and use them daily. Makita and Dewalt have been my go to tools for a while. I am finding that more and more Makita tools are ending up in my truck and tool bags. They have a solid construction and work great. The batteries charge fast, last, and always seem available. This Makita grinder is no exception. It is comfortable in the hand and well made. I like the adjustable shield, the ease of changing disks with the X-Lock mechanism, and the responsive paddle switch. I recommend this tool without reservation.

    Makita grinder that only can use makita wheels

    I do not recommend X lock products because they can only use one brand of wheels makitas makita's which are expensive

    I am very happy I chose the Makita brand (again)for this tool. So nice to not have to start a big compressor for air and then drag around an air hose.

    Other than being a bit on the heavy side the tool is made very well with a couple of nice features. The new toolless (X-LOK) feature is great. Very quick and easy to change wheels. The overall construction is consistent with the quality of all Makita tools. Contractor quality equipment!

    It’s a great tool

    I had a brushed version cordless but It got stolen. I’m glad I got this one. It’s stronger and has no brushes. The Xlock is a plus on changeouts. But I can’t use just any cutter / grinder wheels - they must be compatible with xlock. Other than that it’s great.
