Sony's critically acclaimed baseball series returns with expanded features and a pick-up-and-play retro mode in MLB: The Show 17. The signature Road to the Show mode is back to let gamers guide a custom player from the minor leagues to the Hall of Fame, and the new Pave Your Path feature adds in off-the-field interactions that can alter a prospect's career in a number of ways. The Retro mode is inspired by baseball games from the 1990s and it features pixelated graphics, one-button controls, couch co-op, throwback music, and commentary from cover star Ken Griffey Jr. The Franchise mode also returns to let gamers build a championship dynasty by controlling every aspect of their organization, from delegating managerial tasks and training prospects, to securing key sponsorships and actually playing games. Users can choose to take on full nine-inning games, or complete games much more quickly by controlling one player on the team, participating in only the most critical late-game situations, or choosing the Out of the Park Baseball-style text-based quick manage mode. The card-based Diamond Dynasty has also been updated with different themed events, expanded missions, and special rewards, while the Conquest mode returns for turn-based strategy fans.

    One word to describe this game & that word is "Awesome"! Couldn't beat the price in which I received this item for either buying brand new & sealed. Absolute best baseball game to date ever for any gaming console. Very addictive playing game too. If you love baseball then this is the only game you need for consoles. Be sure to take advantage of the realism that you can get by going to the vault in the game & downloading OSFM rosters or the Hybrid Rosters. They make real players for every single team & make the game so real. This game is for baseball veterans playing on the PS3 or now the game is only on PS4. It's best to play on a lower level if you're not a seasoned veteran for this game series. Thanks.

    Best baseball game ever

    It's been awhile since I played any baseball games last one I had was MLB The Show 14'. I decided to buy this randomly out of the blue, thought it was time for a new baseball game and I was blown away. This is the best baseball game I have ever played. If you love baseball there's so much to appreciate about this game. You can set the computer to play both teams, grab a few beers and doritos, you can literally keep the baseball season going all winter. I highly recommend this game.
