    Slightly shorter & stiffer then OEM belts improved Dixon mower's cutting 24" weeds/grass.

    Installed these 71 inch long slightly stiffer than typical belts on Dixon ZTR mower for which OEM literature specified 72 inch long belts. Why? Because I was experiencing belt throwing when cutting 24-inch tall weeded area for which this mower was not designed. These stiffer slightly shorter belts fit more tightly compressing idler spring more tightly, and were more difficult to install, but not one time has it thrown a belt since. I was over-stressing this machine compared to its designer's intent and the performance failure that over-stressing caused was corrected by changing to these slightly stiffer and slightly shorter Gates belts. Excellent solution with pleasing results.
