Throughout, the author strikes at the root of dogma and affirms the 'paramount importance of re-establishing the Hermetic philosophy in a world which blindly believes it has outgrown it. This edition also includes two articles by H P Blavatsky on the writing of Isis Unveiled: 'My Books' (1891) and 'Theories About Reincarnation and Spirits' (1886)., Focuses on the scientific theories of the time, balanced against the 'anciently universal Wisdom Religion'. Blavatsky Is Legend
Know that this book stomps most everything non-fiction. It is page after page of revelation, and much of the info is as relevant as anything writing in the 19th century. Still the best book on Gnosticism pre-20th century and on most topics of history, the mysteries, or religion, this is as authoritative as you can get. Ignore the haters, as most of them have been silenced by time. She has essentially been written out of our history, which is a shame because this is one of the most intelligent books by man or woman at any time. There is a reason she was a touchstone for Einstein, Oppenheimer, Reich, Jung, and(probably) Tesla. All oh her a debt, especially Einstein, whose relativity theory is already in this book, minus the math. The wave particle form of matter? It’s here too. I have now read it about 7 times, and have owned 3 sets of copies. My shelf will never be without it in the future. Absolutely crucial source material.
