"MLB 15: The Show" for the PlayStation 3 builds upon the framework laid down by the previous games. While much of the gameplay remains the same as previous games in the franchise, there are many new improvements. This sports game features some of the most realistic graphics seen on a PS3 game. The stadiums are full of life with fans holding up signs to support their team. Fans will also cheer when their favorite athlete is up to bat and heckle the opposing club. The player models in this video game for the PS3 have also had a revamp. With new skin tones, the in-game players more closely match their real counterparts. The biggest change in "MLB 15: The Show" for the PlayStation 3 is the introduction of directional hitting. Previously, players had to swing the bat at certain times to send the ball flying in a particular direction. Now, players can dictate where they want the ball to go before a swing. This new addition to the title makes it easier for novices to control the baseball. "MLB 15: The Show" has also made minor improvements to fielding. Athletes in the outfield are now more responsive and feature better animations than in previous titles. The pitching mechanics have also seen a few tweaks that make it easier than ever to throw accurate pitches."MLB 15: The Show" features the same array of single-player modes that users have come to love. The Exhibition mode lets you pit two clubs of any era against each other in any stadium. In Franchise, you'll take on the role of a GM. You'll need to balance the needs of the athletes with the needs of the owners. Sony has added a new in-game radio show that lets you know how you're doing as a GM. The classic Road to the Show mode allows you to take an athlete from a rookie to a superstar. You'll start in a Minor League Baseball club and work your way up to a professional club. As you perform well in each game, you'll level up your character like in an RPG. You'll also unlock branded equipment, which will give you an edge. If you played "MLB 14" you can import your progress over to this PS3 title. This feature allows you to continue your saved Franchise and RttS games using the new improvements of this title. Multiplayer returns to this PS3 title, letting you play with friends either on your couch or online. The online action is smooth with no lag or slowdown occurring at any time. Users even have the option of creating online leagues that other people can join. You can make an online league public, meaning any PlayStation gamer can join it and test their skills against you. You can also make a league private, meaning only gamers who receive an invitation from the creator can enter. The Diamond Dynasty game type returns to this PS3 title. In Diamond Dynasty, you collect cards to build a baseball dream team. Each card has an athlete, stadium, or piece of equipment on it. For the first time, you can collect cards playing any game type. Win or lose, you'll get cards no matter what the results of the match were. Gamers can sell their unwanted cards to other gamers on the Community Market, and you can also trade cards.

    Can't get more real!

    While there may be some people who could find fault with this game, I really like it. It is so complex that it would have been nearly impossible to have every aspect of this game to be perfect. The visuals were nearly impossible to tell from an actual TV broadcast. Were there things that could be improved? Maybe, but for the PS3 this is the best!

    its a sin its so good.

    you can create your own team. about the interface; even idiots like me with fat fingers can manage the menus system. so many options to pitch the ball can even control the pitch menu style and increase your accuracy. batting I have to admit the computer is not very generous on the homeruns and extra base hits but that's how we like it ..with a spice of challenge! happy gaming
