If one is good, two is better.
I had one of these Vixia cameras already (same make and model) and have had an easy time using it. I liked it so much that I decided to buy another, but for a slightly different application and a greatly reduced price (no power adaptor, but for $145.00 + 1 battery, so who cares?). The camera arrived within a week of purchase, powered up just fine, all the features worked and the lens, despite the lens-cover being left open was clean and functional. Bought ac adaptor separately and everything works well. The memory-card format is easy to use and transfer between camera and computer applications. Lastly, already having one of the same make and model, I didn't have to learn a different/new set of steps to use it. The more the merrier.
This is the 4th one of these I have purchased. Not because the other 3 didn't work but just the opposite. I use 4 cameras when shooting and editing video. I have found the quality to be very good, I wanted the same model camera so I would have the same quality in all angles when shooting. Very easy to use, I can also hook up an external microphone for better sound. Adding a microphone with a wind screen helps. No cold shoe to attach it to but I got around it by using an Ulanzi PT-7 Dual Cold Shoe Mount. This is a very good camera for anyone to use. It records in either MP4 or M2T files (for Blu-Ray). The settings are easy enough to use but it is a small screen and it is a touch screen. A good stylus would help. I use 64 GB SD cards so I can capture a long time on a card during an event. One thing I have noticed. When recording in MP4 mode, it will break up a continuous shoot into smaller sized files. M2T will give one large file.
