If you have an Android phone, buyer beware.
I purchased the VF2 because I like the 1and this one had more features. Something I "loved" about my old one was the ability to sync it to my Android phone with the mobile app. Forget it with this one. I thought the compatibility would be the same, but having done a little more research I find I'm not the only one who is unable to connect. I've tried *all* the troubleshooting tips. It fails again and again most of the way through pairing. Apparently it's a complete gamble as to whether or not this device will work with your phone. No charging needed
This watch was a replacement for my older Vivofit 2 which was two years old. I love this watch because it runs on a battery and I don't have to charge it. I just need a watch that lights up and tracks my daily steps and this is perfect. Really great activity tracker
Garmin hit a home run with this model. It's waterproof, can track steps accurately, has a good app to sync with, and the battery lasts a long time. The Vivofit 3 and 4 aren't as well reviewed. I think they should go back to this 2nd model b/c they nailed it. And if you need heart rate monitoring, just buy the Garmin heart rate monitor strap.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
