Seeing machine kid friendly
I knew that I wanted it to be a functioning machine. So that would cost money for additional parts. I have bought a power cord, foot pedal and bobbin cover(on backorder). It really because I like the Janome brand and Hello Kitty. I think I got what was advertised. I didn't anticipate the amount of money it would cost for the missing costs. Exactly what I wanted
I grew up using a Kenmore Mini Ultra, and when it broke (from knocking it off a table; it was reliable with heavy use for eleven years) I struggled to replace it. The Janome is the same machine in a different casing. It's a smaller size sewing machine than the standard. The bobbin is a forward loading rather than a drop in. Neither of these, in my opinion, make this machine difficult to use. The stitching options available are more than sufficient for a wide variety of uses, and it is even capable of making buttonholes. I've sewed corset boning, invisible zippers, and huge ruffled skirts on this machine.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned

A great sewing machine.
This is a great little sewing machine for a beginner to learn to sew on. It is also very lightweight and I'll be carrying it Back East to teach my granddaughter to sew on it. It's so cute, too, with Hello Kitty on the base and is so colorful. I was surprised by the features. Anyone could use this machine if they don't want to do all the fancy stuff that costs so much on sewing machines now days. I was really surprised by the quality of such a reasonably priced machine.
