In this 1987 documentary, the dawning of the Kings remarkable career is brilliantly captured through rare performance footage and a highly informative narrative (by Levon Helm of The Band), that moves through Presleys signing of a major record contract, the evolution of his movie career, and subsequent national media exposure that skyrocketed him from stardom to superstardom.

    Great account of Elvis at his career start.

    Shows very early Elvis at the beginning of his career with appearances on TV shows like Dorsey brothers show before color TV had begun.
