This book is based on a true story that includes the brutal murder of 49-year-old James Turel, several arsons, a bit of romance, greed, jealousy, resentment, securities fraud, psychopathic criminals, over 50 frivolous lawsuits filed by a ¿jailhouse lawyer,¿ and failings of the U.S. legal system. Part of the story was featured in a 60 Minutes episode, ¿Plague of Justice,¿ which aired on December 12, 1982 and can still be viewed on YouTube. "Official Detective Stories" featured Andy Stack's article about this case in April 1976.
