    1979 Snap-On SL710

    When I first received this ratchet it was locked up and didn't work at all. It turned out that all it needed was just a good cleaning and relube. It now operates beautifully! These are a partially sealed head with a 32 tooth gear and a 2 tooth per side engagement pawl. The spring Snap-On used for this was fairly heavy guage and to me seemed alittle too long. So what I did was compress it somewhat, so it's height would be somewhat shorter in order to soften the action alittle. That worked pretty well. It now still has a nice tight crisp, yet more desirable softer ratcheting action. The repair kit is RKRA711. Legendary Snap-On quality! Made in USA!👌👍
