Kevo ... a month after install
I Installed my Kevo on a door that leads out to my garage to serve to make it easier when we get home in the evening and us not having to dig for our keys when the temp outside is in the low single digits during the winter. Installation: Installation was very straight forward as I already had a deadbolt in place so it was a matter of switching the existing for the new and no drilling had to be done and tool less than 20 minutes to complete. Programming: This I also found was very easy as outlined in the video that Kwikset provides just followed it step by step and programming was complete in under 5 minutes. I assigned a Virtual key to my wife phone which was very easy and also installed the FOB on her key chain. Overall feeling: I find this a very good product for my use and has served all purposes it was intended for and had made my wife very happy which is a huge plus :) The product is what I expected from Kwikset, built very sturdy and very easy to install and also servers the purpose very well, I have recommended to friends that have already made a purchase ..Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Great if you have a handful of groceries or cannot unlick your door with ease
I would recommend this as long as you follow the process in setting it up. Also, get two sets of AA rechargeable batteries. That way you are assured that you never have to worry about buying batteries. The install in an existing lock was easy. The instructions are well documented. Take your time. Calibration took 2-3 tries but now it is flawless with keys in the pocket and bags in my hand, one touch and in 10 seconds or less I am through the door. So great!
I love my Kevo kwikset sooooo much!! It's so great, definitely the way of the future. I run a b&b out of my house and am often out of town so I wouldn't be able to give people keys so I can just email them! Don't have to be anywhere near. I also would like to mention that I feel so much relief not having physical keys floating around because it literally takes 5 minutes at the Home Depot to copy a key, this way I never have to worry about someone copying a key, and I can give exact times and dates that someone can use the electronic key. Works good. Convenient for my situation. Sometimes takes a couple attempts to connect so that the lock can be accessed. Range is about 20' from the lock. It seems some phones/keys work better than others. Disappointed that the KEVO plus service (which costs extra) is not available at this time?? Not bad smartlock

So good so far.
Works, install wasn’t too bad. The only thing I don’t like is you have to have the app open on your phone to get this thing to work, or you can buy extra key fobs which seems like the way to go. The only problem with the key fobs is that they will set you back at least 20$ for a little piece of plastic with an rfid tag, not too dissimilar to what would be on a article of clothing at a department store.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Extras Needed

Really Cool App
