    Fed up!

    Unfortunately the replacement leads [from Germany] are terrible; I know from experience. I suspect those from the Far East would be better. I own 3 already, andI bought this pencil for no other reason than to get a good lead....but I'm now fed up with Staedtler. That is why I would not recommend it.

    Staedler refills 3 mm

    I use these refills a lot. Prefer the softest darker lead.
