About this product

Product Information

The core of MiG Alley is the campaign game, set in spring 1951; a period during which the ground war was still fluid and both sides could have won a battlefield victory. During this period the crack Russian MiG squadrons were introduced to the conflict. As a consequence the player finds himself under constant pressure from the start.

As the commander of a group of UN aircraft, your task will be to move the front line to the Chinese border and so win the war before the start of the peace talks. However, at the same time the North Koreans and Chinese will be busy building up their forces and launching attacks aimed at driving the player from the Korean peninsula.

The player has to plan his daily missions, maximizing the strengths of the various aircraft whilst minimizing their weaknesses. Select missions from a wide range of targets -- concentrate on attacking enemy troops, try to cut off their supplies, destroy bridges, or attempt to achieve air superiority. The success or failure of these missions has direct implications to the course of the ground battle in a cause and effect style.

A flexible approach will be called for, as the game aims to make the campaign environment as dynamic and interactive as possible. Add to that the astounding graphics, stunning landscapes, accurate flight models, and the world's largest jet-to-jet dogfights.

  • Mig Alley

I bought Mig alley for pc a few months ago. I installed it on a system running Windows XP pro, and had no installation errors or problems. After intallation completed, I rebooted the system and ran the game. I then customised the graphics and joystick settings remember to save and exit game, incase of system crash. The graphics is good taking into account when the game was first released. The manual is on cd not very well written but covers all the info needed, take time to peruse the manual especiallly on how the campaigne works etc. The game runs smooth and is fairly easy to play the aircraft are modelled well and the wing men AI is extremely good, maybe a bit too good. The enemy AI is good I think about the best I have come across in flight simms. The Game has a historical order it ...

  • Mig Alley

I bought this for my 7 year old nephew, this is his second copy.He wore the other one out.I played it briefly and it's a good flight simulator game for anyone who wants to experince what it would be like to fly a plane.Although he's very good at most computer games I have to admit he does need the practice. The graphics are pretty good, but make sure your mouse and keyboard is in proper working order.

  • hoped it would be better

This might have been a cool fighter sim 10 years ago but its performance and graphics leave something to be desired. This would undoubtedly be better if it was a "Janes" product. Also program has difficulty adapting to joystick interface even though it might detect and list the device as available.

  • Ok at Best

Graffics are ok BUT my biggest complaint is that my joystick doesn't work with this game.... It say's that it recognises and that it's hooked up but it just doesn't work with this game for some reason... I use the Logitech Extreme 3D pro and it works fine with all of my other flight sims no problem...

  • Mig Alley

What I like about Mig Alley is that it is a fairly realistic flight experience for an F-86 fighter plane. What I dislike about it is that the graphics in my opinion aren't very good. I was stationed in Korea and was hoping I would recognize some of the sights. But as you get close to the ground, it is a forest of pixels. I haven't yet figured out how to get into other aircraft.
