I recently got my brand new Dillon XL650 and fresh right out of the box, before it had dies or primers or a single piece of brass put in it, I installed the Hit Factor kit. Everything seems to be pretty well made and I am surprised Dillon hasen't made these original parts for the press designs so Bravo for these guys creating this kit. The press runs nice and smooth, best of any progressive I have had and this kit is a must have. Some of my loads are very tight in starting charge grains to max/never exceed so the press must operate smooth as not to shudder the charged cases and flip powder around and affecting my charges. A+ from me guys!

I didn’t use everything that came in the kit, i actually only used the caming pin with the roller bearing on the end and the shell plate bearing with two washers and the shell plate detent ball and lightweight spring, but the rest of the parts were not used because I didn’t like the fit or they caused problems, the knobs for the powder measure and powder bars are useless and won’t stay on unless you epoxy them to the bolt and that’s not a good idea, so I bought a different set of knobs for the powder bars that are solid and work great, the knurled thumbscrews are not a good option, at least on my press, they are hard to gauge what’s the proper torque compared to the factory screws so if you use them the chances are you won’t tighten them enough or will tighten them too much, then there’s the nylon washers that you have to modify if you use them with the knurled thumbscrews on your powder measure because they won’t stay tight and have a tendency to creep loose, so overall half the kit wasn’t used, I tried everything in the kit but I just ended up removing the screws and nylon washers and the knobs. The instructions are severely lacking and could use a bit more description and direction as well as pictures and were very limited and were nearly useless especially since they do not name or give parts numbers, of the parts I did use the shell plate bearing works well as does the shell feeder cramming Pin, the cramming Pin needs to be properly adjusted after install and you can find the instructions in your dillon user manual and the shell plate bearing needs to be properly greased before you install it and then again every now and then to make sure it doesn’t get dry, the powder bar knobs aren’t that great so I bought a set of knobs that are permanently attached to a adjustment bolt that replaces the original bolt and they work great now, other then that there isn’t much to the kit, except the detent ball and lightweight spring which I also used from this kit and seem to work ok as far as I can tell, it probably would have been cheaper to buy only the parts I used instead of three knobs that don’t stay on and seven knurled thumbscrews and nylon washers that I have no use for as far as I can tell right now? But who knows, maybe they’ll come in handy for something someday so I keep them in my spare parts box on my loading bench for now just in case I find a use for them somedayRead full review

This kit is very easy to install with the exception of having to re-bend the ejector wire on the 650. Fortunately they have a great direction sheet with a link to a video showing you how. I tweaked it several times but it still wants to ride up and restrict rounds from exiting the machine after you have cycled it about 30 times or so. Ill be continuing to tweak this ejector wire to prevent this and other than that I love this product.

the camming pin is hands down the best part of the package, imo. I continue to use a the regular steel ball bearing and spring that came with my xl650. the roller bearing washer is also pretty good idea.

Skeptical about whether or not this kit would make a difference. I was having binding issues and case plate kicking powder all over my XL650. Decided to take a chance on this kit when the price dropped. It was easy to install and it made my press function smoothly. Definitely worth purchasing, especially if you pump out a lot of pistol ammo at a fast rate.
