Digitally remastered edition of this posthumous album released shortly after the guitarist's death. Released in 1971, THE CRY OF LOVE revealed the new music Hendrix had been preparing for FIRST RAYS OF THE NEW RISING SUN, the ambitious double album the guitarist was working on at the time of his death. The album was compiled and mixed by Hendrix's longtime engineer Eddie Kramer and drummer Mitch Mitchell. Now available for the first time on CD, fans can own THE CRY OF LOVE, remastered by Bernie Grundman from the original analog masters.

      A must have.

      Every cut is a treat. He makes all of those guitar parts sound so easy. Jimi was Amazing ! This was one of the last real releases. Not out takes or out of tune live things that he never would have put out. Lucky enough to have seen him play twice. Get this !

      Have the vinyl, had to have the CD. "Freedom", "Ezy Rider" and "Straight Ahead" are my favorites. Must play really loud on a great stereo system or you are missing something special.
