      There's nothing like having the right tool for the job, and this Bottom Bracket tool fits perfectly and is absolutely essential to have in your toolbox if you have one of their superb, sealed bearing units on your bike.       Phil Wood Bottom Bracket Tool

      I bought a new frame and needed the tool to remove and install the PW BB; it works well. For some reason, probably involving loctite and dirt, it required a very large amount of force and I had to use a pipe extension on a breaker bar but it worked; it's a good tool

      BB Tool is a must

      I find less local bike shops carry Phil Wood tools so don't expect to borrow. A tiny little tool that belongs in any serious bike mechanics kit. The pro model is worth it if you need it often but I've never seen these little BB keeper tools break or fail. The keepers are aluminium and they will fail if not properly installed. Use the right tool!
