A masterpiece of words & music.
This CD is a reminder of my carefree days at college when everything was so much simpler than it is now. The songs are poetry set to music, every song is a story. Ralph McTell is a genius and "The Streets of London" is even more appropriate now than when it was first written. Simply a masterpiece of words & music.

Ralph McTell - Streets of London
Ralph is a genuine English folk treasure. Streets brought him fame, but there are some gems in this collection. Most are Ralph's originals, all from the heart and and each one a piece of the man himself - nothing false or imitation. There are also some great country blues classics which I can access via Ralph's clear guitar style so that I can now understand the originals made back in the 20s and 30s. Don't expect everything to be like Streets of London - you will be rewarded !Ralph is a genuine English folk treasure. Streets brought him fame, but there are some gems in this collection.
