I believe that deserves a place in every cool adult party in my future.
Fine group just discovered through Breaking Bad . When hearing The Peddlers version of "In a clear day yoy can see forever" in Breaking Bad ( Season 4 or 5) I thought of a brand new cool cover, enough to make me do same research and find the artists , absolutely new for me, and to buy the double CD through e-bay. It was a 1969 recording of the english group. Impressive!! The natural and well recorded sound of the group delivered in the CD is a must to those who loves sound and the cool sixties. The Peddlers song version became and standard to me and I believe that deserves a place in every cool adult party in my future. Hoping to be of help to someone. Captures the essence of their technical and musical ability
The Peddlers were a 60's early 70's group known as the 'musicians musicians'. The Beatles, 'Stones and all groups inbetween were frequent attenders and admirers of The Peddlars. Probably a little dated today, but the band were essentially a live band whose musical and technical ability were without peers, taking classic songs to new heights and arrangements. If you are a bassist, drummer or organist you will no doubt enjoy this album for what they do, don't do and add to in their arrangements. If you don't play a musical instrument, lean back, sip your favourite spirit, close your eyes and imagine being in a club watching this very competent trio. This album encapsulates much of the essence of The Peddlers music, competency and as such is very much recommended.The Peddlers were a 60's early 70's group known as the 'musicians musicians'.
