  • Nac Mac Feegles....a rollicking adventure!

The first of the Tiffany Aching books and the Wee Free Men are so well and humorously depicted. Being from Scotland, I laughed all the more at the observation and depicted behaviours of these Wee Free Men. Staunch allies, and friends to Tiffany. Who wouldn't want the Nac MacFeegle on their side when push comes to shove? Brilliant book for children and for adults who can still find the child inside,. Great for those who have a love for magical nature...so much between the lines here.

Wee Free Men is a great read with classic Pratchett humour within it and it's uncanny links to stories and other shuch things in the real world is great. An experienced witch named Miss Tick and her toad arrive on the chalk. She feels that something is not right, so she decides to find out what's going on. Her intuition is right. The Queen of the Elves has made another attempt at invading the Discworld, this time by stealing children and infesting dreams. With the help of the Wee Free Men, the Nac Mac Feegle, nine-year-old Tiffany Aching finds out that her grandmother used to be the witch of the Chalklands, and that she has inherited ...
