Captivating Historical storytelling - Read in book series order.

Great story telling. Cornwell takes the bones of Historical dates and characters you learned snippets about at school, and transports you back to be alongside a pivotal character who lived through events which 'could have' occurred at that moment of time. Remember to get the most enjoyment, you'll need to buy the complete set of books relevant to that character/series, and read the books in timeline order.

  • Excellent historical novel.

A real page turner in the usual Bernard Cornwall style and an insight into the creation of England from the kingdoms of Wessex, Mercia, Northumbria.
