The digitally re-mastered images are far superior to my tape collection. Better color and more detail. The sound quality also beats my VHS tapes. A genuine upgrade. All 21 James Bond movies are in the set. There are four boxes of five movies each plus the last movie, Casino Royale, in its own separate case. Each box is a "collection" and not five movies in order of release. I won't offer an artistic review because these movies have been out for some time and most people know if they like the genre or not. One dislike: the upgraded images are a bit darker than my tapes and some scenes do not show up well on my screen. If you have a really sophisticated system, you will probably want to increase the gamma setting (brightness). Bottom line: I'm happy and would buy this set again.
If you enjoyed any of the Bond movies over the years they are all here for you to view once more in beautifully restored versions. The color and sound could not be better. If you like extras, those are all here for you as well. There are TV specials on Bond and lots of very well done "making of" features that are full of interesting facts about the films, gadgets, stunts, and people involved in the making of all the 21 films. It is truely a complete collection. The one Bond film Never Say Never Again with Sean Connery, which was made by a different company is not included and should be added by viewers in my opinion to make a truly complete collection. The one thing that improves the watching of this set in my opinion is to take the time to make a list and view the films from the first one Dr. No to the last in cronological order. This improves the viewing because you learn little things about Bond's life and the characters that appear in the films again and again that are missed if one does not view them in cronological order. That list I made really improved our viewing enjoyment. I am surprised the makers of the set did not provide one. Bond as a character did not just appear, but changed and grew over the years and viewing the films in order helps make sense of some of the changes that occured along the way. Again, it is a great set and a must for any Bond fan. I highly recommend it. John R. HardisonRead full review
If you're a James Bond fan this set is The parchase to make. A great value, this collection has both the listed movies AND the extras disk for each movie. The only thing that would make the is collection better would be to update it to include the very latest films.

This is the most upto date Date Collection Set-n-one for Any James Bond Fan. the set include ALL the Official James Bond Movies ever released from Connery's first appearance in Doctor No, in 1963 till Craig's edition of Casino Royale in 2006. Admittedly, the movies are NOT boxed in Chronological order (sequence of release) but any Hardcore fan would know that sequence by heart, and for others, all they need to do is sort it by the CopyRight date, and they will have it in the proper order. when you look at the set itself, any Hardcore Fan will notice immediately that it is Missing 3 tittles. 1. MGMs Spoof "Casino Royale" from 1967, with Peter Sellers and David Niven. 2. Connery's "Never say Never Again" from 1982. (Remake of Thunderball) 3. Craig's "Quantum of Solace" from 2008. Quantum of Solace is a post production, which was released After this collection was released. where as the other 2 tittles are not included due to Ownership rights. but to complete the Entire set, all tittles can easily be acquired elsewhere. The Combined set is a beautiful collection, the only drawback that I can pinpoint is that the tittles are stored in "MAXI" cases, which is significantly thinner than the regular DVD cases. why i consider it a drawback is only for Cosmetic Reasons, as these cases may seem a bit out of place on the Rack beside all the other tittles in regular casing. but this may not apply to everybody. the Additional DVD that comes with each tittle contains all the "Extra Features" anyone could ever dream of, some in reference to the tittle itself, and some just about the Series in General. in my original collection, which went from VHS to LaserDisc to Regular DVD to now the "Ultimate Edition" DVD, the special features is the only real ADDITION, beside the improvement in the Quality of the sound and picture. plus the fact that the combined set comes for a part of the price i paid for the VHS collection when that was available. the sequence of release is jotted for anyone who may want or need this. I am not going to review each tittle individually, basically cuz that can take up several hundred pages to do so (have actually been done), but will suffice with the series, including the tittles thats not included in this set, each marked with a " ** " by the name. 1. Doctor No. 1962, Connery. 2. From Russia with love. 1963, Connery. 3. Goldfinger. 1964, Connery 4. Thunderball. 1965, Connery. 5. You only Live Twice. 1967, Connery. 6. ** Casino Royale. 1967, David Niven / Peter Sellers. 7. On Her Majesty's Secret Service. 1969, Lazbeny. 8. Diamonds are forever. 1971, Connery. 9. Live and let Die. 1973, Moore. 10. The man with the golden gun. 1974, Moore. 11. The spy who loved me. 1977, Moore. 12. Moonraker. 1979, Moore. 13. For Your Eyes Only. 1981, Moore. 14. ** Never Say Never Again. 1982, Connery. 15. Octopussy. 1983, Moore. 16. A view to a kill. 1985, Moore. 17. Living Daylights. 1987, Dalton. 18. Licence to Kill. 1989, Dalton. 19. Goldeneye. 1995, Brosnann. 20. Tomorrow never Dies. 1997, Brosnann. 21. The world is not enough. 1999, Brosnann. 22. Die another day, 2002, Brosnann. 23.
