Always was the best little business laptop you can get bar none. I have owned a few thinkpads over the years but I got this one because of its small size I can fit it in my tool bag tablet pocket to do machine programming and trouble shooting. Love it's compact size and performance.

A true Ultrabook by design with all the original ThinkPad toughness. The carbon fiber design is very light and the black finish is very appealing. The finish makes it easy to grip so you are less likely to drop it, however if you do the X1 Carbon has passed many military spec tests and surviving falls is one of them. Being an Ultrabook it is confined to a specific size but even so Lenovo managed to fit a 14" display within then confines, the Macbook Air only manages 13.3" in comparison. By searching out my top of the line model the 344425U on eBay I was able to save $300 compared to the Lenovo Website. This model has the Intel i7 processor with a 256GB SanDisk SSD and 4GB of system memory. Strage enough a lesser i5 processor equipped model is available with 8GB of memory but the i7 model does not have this option. I opted for a 3 yr warranty with a 3 yr battery replacement warranty on top of that since the X1 must be opened up for a battery replacement. The WIFI connectivity is excellent and I have experience very good battery life 4.25 hrs on average. The upgrade options are limited and the AC adapter plug is not the same as previous ThinkPads so my old adapters will go unused until someone makes an adapter, kinda like Apple changing the plug on the iPhone. Overall it will make a great impression in the business world and tech savy people are very impressed when they look it over. The keyboard is very good and the trackpad is large and the old ThinkPad eraser input is still included. The USB 2.0 port which will support charging your smart phone even with the X1 Carbon in sleep mode. This is the perfect machine for traveling with and it stealth look will keep it from drawing unwanted attention from those who might like it for themselves.
