Its a BCV/BPV not a BOV
Fitted to a 2021 civic 1.5T RS. This kinugawa recirculating valve is way better than the OEM one. Holds and maintains a more stable boost pressure. Gets on boost faster and sooner. Sounds even better and louder with a CAI. Easier install than other BCV/BOV valves. Direct plug and play. No need for any modifications or extra hardware. Changing the spring is easy. Easy to take part to service,clean and grease. This bcv/bpv is also campatible and interchangable with a lot of other car manufacturers that use the same valveFitted to a 2021 civic 1.5T RS. This kinugawa recirculating valve is way better than the OEM one. Holds and maintains a more stable boost pressure. Gets on boost faster and sooner. Sounds even better and louder with a CAI. After having drivability problems with two other bypass valves From competitors, this one is a winner! Comes onto boost much stronger and has positively improved the power curve. Good, simple construction which is easy to adjust the orientation of vacuum line fitting and to swap springs. 10/10 for functionality and quality. I cannot vouch for reliability, as i've only had it installed for 1 day, but it's a simple design and I cannot see any issues there.After having drivability problems with two other bypass valves From competitors, this one is a winner! It does good things but not excellent things.
Soooooo I bought this with the intent to have a more “aggressive” sound than the stock CBV would have. Between the 3 springs supplied I could not tell a difference in performance or sound. Also when I went to change out the spring the unit kind of fell apart into 2 pieces which looks like it was supposed to do I think? Also I noticed the piston in the CBV gets stuck sometimes which I have heard about happening on their other BOVs. But it looks nice and better than the stock unit, makes the turbo look less “stock” and does make noise so it’s alright.Soooooo I bought this with the intent to have a more “aggressive” sound than the stock CBV would have.
