Dolica tripods, and monopods, are in my opinion among the best you can buy for the money. There are better, more expensive tripods out there of course. The thing about Dolica is that they don't spend a lot of money on advertising but rather build a better unit for the money. The tripod speaks for itself. While being very light weight and easy to carry this tripod is also very well made and versatile. Even the carry bag is nicely made. It's light, but not flimsy. It will mount and hold my Nikon Full Frame camera with a descent lens without a problem. But, it's not a heavy duty unit so I wouldn't suggest mounting a large 30 pound telephoto on it. Again, it's light. It's designed to be easily carried while still giving you a sturdy mount. There is even a large hook to hang your camera bag onto to add mass to the tripod which adds to it's stability. More mass equates to less vibration which yields sharper images. I've been a professional photographer for over 40 years. I know my equipment.Read full review

Let's be honest, at $35, it's a cheap tripod. It's not as rock solid stable as tripods costing 10x or 20x as much. If I were a professional photographer whose livelihood depend on it, I'd go for rock solid. But there are times when "Perfect is the enemy of Good Enough". My reason for buying the tripod -- I often shoot with a friend who lives halfway across the country. Taking my better tripod is both a schlep and expensive if I need to pay for an extra piece of luggage. If we're going to shoot for a day or two in a national park, maybe one night shoot, the Dolica certianly is "Good Enough". My first tripod was a Dolica, so I was familiar with the brand, and the Quality. So I bought this tripod to keep at his place and to have available should the need arise.

Having snapped off a leg lock on my old Dolica I ordered a new one. The leg locks are improved and appear more solid, and the ball head is an improved compact, simple to use design. If you don't "need" carbon fiber and heavy duty weight, this could be the tripod for you.

This is very light tripod so in one side it's easy to take it and other side when weather too windy it will be not stable. Head ball need to be replaced for another one i think.
