To begin with, you must know that I've always been a devoted fan of Eric Clapton and it only makes perfect sense to have all of "Cream" on remastered disc format (both live and studio recordings); plus all the little bonus tidbits from the studio like "anyone for tennis"(2:38),"The Coffee Song" (2:44),and approx. six(6)demo versions, all previously unreleased until now, & even (yes) a "Falstaff Beer" commercial(1:00). Also, besides this great 4 CD Set, there is a wonderful booklet of pictures of Eric,Jack,& Ginger. Also highly recommend Eric Clapton Crossroads Box Set VOL 1 & VOL 2 (both are complete w/booklets)
Four CDs, two studio, two live concert. Tracks have been remastered, as they sound better than vintage CDs. New Denafrips Ares DAC obviously helps, but great music never dies. The 48 page insert with history and pictures is great. The live event tracks have great information on concert dates and locations.

The inclusion of the live recordings on the second and third discs is what makes this box set special. Unbelievable demonstration of musicianship and soul that is rationed out in very small portions in the studio cuts. The live performances are what put Cream on the map they truly stretch like no one else before or since. You get to see why they acieved iconic status here. Very good mix as well....especially considering the era. Brilliant.
A time of innovation for many new sounds, Eric Clapton, Jack Bruce, and a wild drummer. Brought some music that will never be replicated.
