This truck is easy to enjoy. It includes everything you need except for 4 AA batteries for the included remote. I opted to add a 2S lipo for longer run times, and some have said the truck runs cooler on lipo than nimh. It can reach almost 20 mph, which to me is fast enough on rough terrain. I like how the front wheels stay on the ground when accelerating rapidly, since you can't steer if they're up in the air. I like the way it handles, it turns well if you ease up on the throttle or let off the throttle completely. Turning at full speed will result in a larger turn radius, or possibly a rollover. I have rolled mine a bunch in grass, once on asphalt. The body did get scratched a little bit, but any body will scratch when flipped and scraped on pavement. I have unfortunately run into trees and even a brick planter when going too fast for my skill level. No damage as of yet, I never intentionally run into things and cringe every time it happens. The only time I've had a problem is when dried plants get sucked into the motor. It has happened twice now in maybe 5 or 6 total runs. The truck starts to move slow, and that's how I know it has happened. All you have to do to fix it is take the body off and blow out the motor with a compressor. While doing that, you might as well blow out the whole inside to clean it out. I now do this every time when the battery is used up and the run is over. Other than that, I've had no issues with the truck and recommend it to someone who wants an on and off road vehicle that is durable and affordable. That reminds me, this thing is nice on pavement. You can spin it around 180° or more if you let off the throttle. The time I flipped it on pavement, I was turning and going full speed- so my fault. There are several reviews of this truck on YT, by people with lots of RC experience. That is why I started looking at this truck in the first place. I'm glad I went with this machine as a starter vehicle.Read full review

I bought this for my 8yr old boy. After going through one low end truck and two 1/16 Traxxas models I decided to try this as a step from 1/16. I'm actually impressed with this truck, the control and balance of this thing is amazing. With the other models I had to teach how to use throttle and brake to control rotation in jumps. This Granite is so well balanced it hardly bucks in the rear or kicks the front up and lands on all four tires like 90% of the time. Even though its slightly faster then the Traxxas trucks he had, with the dual rate steering and adjustments its way easier for him to control. I've been in the RC hobby since I was a kid, most brands lower end or entry models durability has just gone away. The build quality and durability of this reminds of the Traxxas and HPI Racing trucks from early to mid 2000's when they bulletproof. I don't think you will find a better value for what you get with this Arrma Mega 4x4.Read full review
