I now have 3 Rokinon lenses (2 Sony, 1 Olympus) and the only complaint I have is with their beautiful 50MM 1.4 and the AF noise when using video. This 14MM lens is a beauty (looks quite nice on my black Oly) it’s silky smooth, excellent quality and great photos. Both cameras have peaking/magnification so manual focus is not an issue as long as I’m not shooting superman, sprints or birds :]. Bottom line: The Rokinons do not compare to the Sony or Olympus branded primes WRT auto focus (except the new Rokinon AF for Sony), water/dust repel, and image stabilization, however, if you are willing to live without this wonderful technology, the Rokinon will force you to improve your composition and the results will be similar if not better than your prime/zoom compositions. Also, you pay about %60 less for the wonderful Rokinon/Samyang lenses.Read full review

Cons. Heavy a little difficult to focus. Also picture is wrong there is another black adapter type metal tube on the end adding a few more inches to length. Unless you can manual focus good get the AF version.

Finally able to capture some decent super wide photos of the milky way and stars, thanks to this lens. Good combo of wide and fast. Manual focus is not a big deal for landscape photos, especially with Sony's Focus Peaking feature enabled. Focus once, and don't worry about it. Cons: Corner sharpness is less than ideal, as well as a bit of extra chroma when shooting wide open.

This lens is amazing for video - the wide angle is so beautiful - it works so magically hand held as well as on a gimball. There is barely any need to shift the focus, unless you're constantly moving from extreme closeup to wide shots. Everything I'd expect from this type of lens and more!

Tack sharp through the middle stops and very little -if any- edge fringe. Exactly what I've been looking for for astro and ultra wide landscape work. It also focuses close enough that the wider f/stops give excellent out-of-focus performance. Good for video or stills, and totally fun on either.
