    Favourite place on earth

For anyone remotely interested in books or second-hand bookshops, this book is a must. The author, and owner of the shop, has his patience tried by a range of challenging customers, some of whom consider second hand books as a source of disease, and many of whom assume that any book can always be reduced in price, often with less than sensitive negotiations. • An excellent read...a must for all book lovers!

A very funny and charming book, a must for anyone who loves books (the paper ones not ebooks!) It also makes you realize that if we don't use bookshops (as opposed to buying online) they will disappear.

  • A warm and funny tale of books and bookshops

Thoroughly enjoyable tale of a bookshop, its owner, staff and mixed bag of customers. It's not often that a book which states "laugh out loud funny" on the cover does actually make you guffaw. I'm going to try his next instalment.
