As previous reviews have said, the sound quality of disc 1 is very poor. Personally, I would not have included it in the set. The sound improves noticeably with each disc - although the bass end needs boosting even on disc 4 in my opinion. It appears that the sound on discs 3&4 is probably taken from the video, readily available on youtube - so don't expect miracles! Having ripped into the sound quality, I'm still pleased that I bought it! Why? Because discs 3&4 are a complete performance of the 1975 line-up, which still had the wonderful John Cipoilina on guitar. Just the songs, "Fresh Air", "What about Me?", and "Cowboy on the Run" would make it worthwhile for me - and, of course, there's "Mona" and "Who do You Love?" and all the other favourites. This would make a dreadful introduction to Quicksilver Messenger Service. Stick with their first two albums! However, if you understand what is in this box set, it might be OK for you. It's nicely presented, with an interesting little booklet. Read full review
