Though I have a kindle fire and a bigger size phone sometimes I have no auddio books and do't feel like carrying my heavier tablet and find it read from my phone (light reflections)> this is perfect. I downloaded all my books quickly and after getting used to having a non touch screen again it's fine. For the price I paid this is great for day reading on the good . It's so light it's amazing to fit in a purrse or even pocket. easy to charge with any charger that works for android.

Comparing to similar products available such as tablets and more advanced ebook readers like Kindle Fire, this was a great purchase. I wanted it only for reading, so I didn't want to spend all that extra money for the frivolous features that the other possesses and plus, since it's way cheaper, I'm not afraid of taking it with me at ALL times in my bag. There were just a couple of things that bothered me: 1) The fact that I had to buy a cover with light to be able to read in dark places was annoying. 2) The buttons that change pages feel a little flimsy. I don't if they are, but I'm actually afraid of clicking them too much and breaking it. That was the only thing that made me regret not buying the touch version of this Kindle model. 3) As an avid reader, the battery doesn't last as much as the announced, but considering that sometimes I use my Kindle for about two hours a day, it's still pretty impressive! 4) As an extra, it would be nice if this model could also support 3G. I travel a lot to the beach / my relatives' houses, and I don't have access to Wi Fi on those place. That, or a way to download books / sync by connecting the Kindle to a computer connected to the Internet!Read full review
I got this as a Christmas gift, and it is one of the most useful gifts I've ever received! It is absolutely a great bargain - no, not as flashy as the Fire, but not nearly as expensive either! And I love its lightweight, compact design - I have fibromyalgia, so that matters a great deal to me. And it can hold a TON of ebooks and MP3s - as I can attest to; I've loaded mine down with HOURS of entertainment material! The web browser has some stability issues, but performs well most of the time. This little jewel helped me keep my sanity on a 4+ hour bus trip, so you know it's amazing! Portable, inexpensive, with a lot of the bells and whistles of the more expensive readers - this is perfect if you're on a budget and like/need to travel a lot. I highly recommend it!
I couldn't get it to connect to my Amazon account, but research says that’s a good thing! You need a special kind of micro-USB to transfer files- There’s two kinds of micro-USB, one for charging and one for charging and data transfer. If one doesn’t work, your kindle isn’t broken, just try the other! PDFs break after thirty pages and don’t look great which was a dealbreaker for me RIGHT UNTIL I started converting all my PDFs to .txt, which I’ve encountered few to no problems with. After figuring all that out, this kindle is now one of the items I always have on me, along with my phone, wallet, and mask. It’s so great being able to read fanfiction and whole novels on the same device, and the interface is comfortable too. I’ll be buying another for my mom for Christmas, I’ve been using mine so much that she got jealous!Read full review

I have one of these already but a couple of the page turn buttons are starting to stick. I figured I'd buy another one before they all disappeared. I love the physical page turn buttons, I love that all the buttons are physical. I love that it's not touch screen. I read all the time, when food (or anything else) falls on a touch screen, it makes the page move. If you're reading outside and you need to brush off the screen, you have to turn your reader off or you'll move pages. If you fall asleep while reading, and the e-reader falls on your face, the pages move. The only downside of this reader is, if you have to enter something like a WiFi password, picking letters one by one with the arrows can be tedious. I have a touch screen e-reader and I've barely used it since I got my first kindle. This last kindle I bought looks brand new. I look forward to many happy years with my new to me Kindle 4th generation.Read full review
