    Have tried recipe for wheat sourdough which worked well but needed far more time than Whitley said. He does rather confuse his instructions with digressions which would probably be better at end of recipe.Otherwise a useful little book.

    Compact but full of good info

    Basically all you really need to know about Sourdough. I also bought a recently published book which, although fairly comprehensive, sometimes seemed confusing with some conflicting information and required going backwards and forwards to previous chapters. This is much clearer and, as a practical manual, I would recommend it highly.
