Great Movie Done Locally Here in Ohio
I went to see this movie in the theater when it came out because it had been made locally and has a great message. "Old Fashioned" means waiting until marriage to begin your life together sexually. Because of the main characters checkered past he realizes he needs to change his ways, and does so. This looks kind of odd to his new friend, but later realizes it is the best for both of them. It is too bad this movie did not get critical acclaim as it should because it is one of the best movies out there, and all parents should get this movie and show it to their children to see how to best prepare for a relationship and future marriage.I went to see this movie in the theater when it came out because it had been made locally and has a great message. An Example of a Boring, Creepy, Childish, Harmful Relationship
Spoilers ahead. This film is so strange. It's far too long for it's own good at nearly two hours. Most characters are fine and seem like acceptable people, but the main character Clay is quite creepy. He gives off the sense that he is into serial killing and manipulates his way into a relationship with a new girl in town. He acts so strangely towards her, and she continues to have interest in him for no realistic reason. It's as if she is so curious about whether or not he will tie her up in his basement at some point. He lies about a picture he has of an old girlfriend. He won't even kiss or or anything to even know if they have any real chemistry between each other, before asking her to marry him after what seems like a few weeks, maybe few months tops of knowing each other. The main guy's dialogue also feels very heavy-handed, and clearly seems written, rather than something someone would actually say in those moments. Surprisingly the other characters seem a lot more realistic. So I have a theory about this movie. It's not good, at all. In fact, it's the worst movie I've watched so far.

Slow start but very thought provoking!
Didn't know what to expect from this movie, but we were very pleased with the depth and message of it. It seemed to start slow, but as it progressed, you became aware that the slow start was part of getting the viewer to understand. I can appreciate the moral of this story. Not a family movie, as the theme has some adult topic that wouldn't fit kids, but maybe older teens. Thnks!

Great Movie
Really enjoyed it. Pure Flix has really been up on their game of producing excellent Christian based family friendly films, this one is no exception. Several scenes may not be appropriate for young children but still a lot better than prime time tv. Excellent movie for teens to show you don't have to live like everybody else.
