Unfortunately, even with these improvements the computer would still freeze when running Windows. It's a dual boot with Ubuntu, and it was considerably faster when running Ubuntu. However, I decided to try a CPU upgrade after searching online for what others have done. I ordered the AMD A10-5750M Quad Core, and now the computer runs the way a computer should run--no freezing and overall, much, much faster.
