  • GREAT READ!!!!! Fantastic!

This is a really great read. If you are obsessed with the Black Dahlia case (as I am), this is the book to read. John Gilmore was the closest person to ever solving the black dahlia murder. Very chilling evidence and a confession that will make the hairs on your neck stand up. Not a "autobiography" book like Steve Hodel's. This book is based on actual facts and starts from the very beginning and mentions stuff about her childhood. It has 32 pages of pictures. Some from her childhood, some with her "boyfriends", some of the crime scene and some post mortem pics. I LOVED this book!! I couldn't put it down. The only disappointment I really had was I wanted to see more pictures! Very fascinating and compelling read. I recommend to all who like the intrigue of the Black Dahlia case or for those ...

  • Dull book.

The author has the mentality of a child. The Dahlia is painted as a simpering Pollyanna which contradicts far more reliable sources of this case. I have made a study of the Dahlia case for years, and this book is not a good source of information. The photos however, are somewhat rare, though you can see about every Dahlia photo made available to the public via Google. A disappointing book.

This a great book on the Black Dahli it reads like a work of fiction to draw you in so you feel involved in the story while keeping the facts of the case true.

  • Severed (The true story of The Black Dahlia)

Unsolved mystery regarding Elizabeth Short aka The Black Dahlia. The book left you thinking that perhaps her murder was "solved" although the supposed killer burned to death before any questions were truly answered.Great book, very detailed.
