A brave but sadly superficial effort
It's a good attempt but I really didn't feel that the two young women had got anywhere near mastering the deep level of understanding of the human condition that Leonard Cohen exhibited. It may simply be age, but I suspect that, like so many young people, they still see life in very superficial terms. This comes out particularly clearly in Alleluia - the cry of anguish at the relationship with religion is simply not there.
