Great for security safe heaters or other critical areas that use smaller currents to offer a greater measure of safety
This is WHY I like, and use, individual fused plugs. The first place I used a fused plug was for a heater inside of a security safe to help keep the moisture to a minimum. I still use a Desiccant but it lasts MUCH longer between recharges now that I have a heater. I take issue putting a heater INSIDE of an otherwise fire resistant safe, therefore, I used an inline digital multi-meter to measure the current draw & sized my fuse just a tad above that. You can also calculate the current draw if you do just a little GOOGLE research on Ohm's Law. If ANYTHING starts to take a downward slide with the heater, the fuse will blow & I won't have to wait until a 20 amp circuit breaker trips......perhaps AFTER fire damage inside of the safe has taken place? Also.....any place an extension cord has to ... This is WHY I like, and use, individual fused plugs. Arc Fault Breakers and GICI breakers help when things turn south, but they don't really babysit smaller currents very well of there is no arc or grounding fault. Anyway, if you have some critical things you want to protect & a 15 or 20 amp circuit breaker is uncomfortably too high of a rating, these plugs are just the ticket!!

Nice Product
Really nice product. Too bad it is so expensive. Good that there are so few reasons to need one. It does not come with a fuse. Instructions say that largest fuse is ABC 15 (ceramic tube). Lower amp AGC fuses can be used.
