Purchased with the original intent of using it as described for an instrument headstock overlay, I have decided to use it instead to craft a solid mandolin bridge by cutting it into three sections and laminating the pieces to create a 3/8" thick block for crafting the bridge. I plan to make the center section shorter to allow for cradling a 1/8" thick bone saddle. The seller has requested photos of the final product, which I will be happy to provide.
