    Great Drumhead!

    I've been trying out different manufacturers of drum heads lately, and decided to put this on my DW acrylic kick drum. I changed it out AFTER doing a soundcheck at an outdoor venue, and immediately was impressed with it. I looked at YouTube vids and zoomed in to look at what non-factory kits had on them. Most had the regular Emad, but I wanted to try this HEAVYWEIGHT version. I love it!! I play classic rock and Top40 drums, and used the maximum muffling ring.

    Great EQ'd kick batter

    For hard hitting music this is an awesome head. Very little muffling needed to get a tight sound out of it with either the small or larger muffling ring. I would never recommend for an open sound. I find it is unusable without the muffling ring installed do to the head flapping around which is very audible through a mic.

    A match to a predecessor application: The Evans Batter Head did the trick!

    It is the professional substitute for an old pillow in the bass drum. In a small room with hard surfaces damping that bass drum loudnesas is a must. This product does the trick. It is a bit mre expensive than say the REMO equivalent and one cannot say it is better, but in this case the Evsan's product was a match to tszht in a companion bass drum that already had the product in place.

    Evans EMAD 22in. bass head

    Blends well with band, two ply durability muffles w/o stiffling tone, as easy as changing any bass drum head. Has additional sound ring to muffle further if desired but you may not need it. Good buy, XLNT product.
