The threads were not a good match from the cylinder to the ball joints. It felt like I cross threaded them when I tried many times to make them fit and just screw in as would be normal. The tractor seems to turn like it should, the cylinders don't feel as strong as the originals, so far no leaks and it's working acceptably.
