OUTSTANDING PRODUCT! * Works fantastic, like having added a "Zero Fret" for lowering string action, but it even does the work of a "compensating nut" at the same time! * AWESOME design! * Great item, fast delivery too! * Thanks again!! * FIVE STARS * * * *

    • Easy fix for intonation issues

I play fingerstyle solo guitar and when you pluck chords rather than strum them, intonation is particularly critical. It is made more difficult if you do any kind of drop or alternate tunings. This little gizmo is a nifty way to compensate for intonation issues that are inherent to the guitar. I don't know how they arrived at the kind of compensation that the alternate spacing uses--they use a type of patented formula apparently--but it was immediately apparent that the intonation on my Taylor T5 was improved by it. Super easy to install, it comes with very thin adhesive shims if your string height isn't low enough to hold it in place next to your current guitar nut. I experimented with it for about 15 minutes to get a height that held it securely in place. All in all, very handy and ...

    • Worth it

This little doodad works great. I was a skeptic at first, as there are not many reviews or 3rd party references to the SOS. Once I got it, I was skeptical still. The strings would lay on top of the compensator, much like how a nut works. I had to file down my nut in order for my strings to lay on the SOS, and that was a scary thing for me as my action was already low. However, to my surprise the product works great! There are no more sharp notes when I play and everything tunes the way a perfect pitch guitar should. I’d recommend this for any guitarist, for home, live, and studio uses. I’m probably going to get more for the rest of my guitars soon.

    • Nice simple solution that anyone can try.

A nice simple, reversible solution. If the nut is cut properly this just slides in front of the nut and supports the strings at the compensated points. You will need to adjust the bridge compensation on an electric guitar. I tried the electric and acoustic versions. Definitely improved the intonation.

    • SOS compensated nut

Excellent tool to help get intonation spot on! I use on guitars ranging from ‘56 junior to ‘67 strat to 80s aria pro iI stray cat. Works well on all! I recommend it to all my students for intonation problems.

    • Makes your guitar sound perfect.

The spacer is awesome. So much so I ordered three more. The guitar's intonation is in since I used it.
