    Jane Evans does a good job.

    I liked the book and think it is a good book to learn the art of chinese painting. The supplies are photographed for you to see the ink and brushes she uses, the strokes are outlined and there is a bit of history and other information I found useful. She demonstrates from fist stroke to last the procedure to complete various project and I would say this would be a good book for a beginner or intermediate student of this art form.

    Chinese Brush painting

    I have several of Jane Evans Chinese Instructional books & wouldn't part with one of them. Her art work is exceptional, Her techniques well demonstrated, I refer to them constantly. This book was NO disapointment. You can always learn from it.

    Chinese Brush Painting

    The instruction in this book is excellent. There are many books on chinese brush painting that dont go give enough information to master the strokes. This book gives clear instruction. One of the best i have seen.

    I bought this book becuase I was interested in Chinese brush painting . This book delivers. The author covers plants , animals and people; discussing technique and common mistakes. Very informative book.

    Chinese Brush Painting by Jane Evans (1987)

    This book is a wonderful book for people just beginning to explore the beauty of Sumi-e brush painting. I highly recommend it.
