  • can hamlet survive a tiny town and amateurs or is this a comedy of error ?

a small group of amateurs perform hamlet in a small [hamlet] town in the middle of winter - reference also shakepeare's "a winter's tale" - the leader of the group is a small-time director/actor [a ham-let if you will] the film is an insider's comedy of errors - reference "meeting venus", "a chorus of disapproval", "chorus line", "all that jazz", etc - actually even "best of show" could go on this list of watching the performers within the performance - endless inside humor with a wit of melancholy sweetness as well - the director of the company gives a wonderful speech on "what's the use" which shadows and hints at "To be or not to be..." - after-all they are performing hamlet!

  • Great movie

Great movie. They don't make them like that in the U.S.

  • story so-so.

Bought this item because of presence of Jennifer Saunders in cast. Actors were quite good overall, but the story was boring.
