A great Horror Movie with great actors
Love the double pack! The original, first movie was what I was really looking for but saw the double pack and had liked the it so I got both! The first one was really a great one. Very different from any others. Easy to get into and stay with! The second isn't as good but still very watchable. The first was intellectual and the twists just kept coming. While not real graphic, do not let younger kids watch. It gets under your skin and is very believable!! Recommend highly!!Love the double pack! Promising beginning, scary ending, but draggy middle.
The beginning and the ending are scary, and the premise is promising: writer moves into haunted house to research murders that took place there. However, the middle is not only dull, but stretches credulity. It turns out that many families have been murdered in different houses over many years, always with one child unaccounted for and presumed abducted, because the body is never found. How does the writer discover this? He finds a movie projector in his attic, with films of all the murders. So basically the middle of the movie is a guy watching films and doing internet research. No explanation as to how all these geographically diverse incidents spanning about 60 years made it onto these super-8 reels, and how they ended up in the attic. A must watch
As a horror movie lover I must say this was one of the best I have seen in years. It was a keep you on the edge of your seat through the whole time. It will keep you guessing and just blow your mind as the movie progresses. So if you love horror movies then this is a must watch
