  • For the SG guitarist

The Gibson SG Manual, written by Paul Balmer, contains a wealth of information about what has become one of the most loved heavy metal icons, the Gibson SG. Whether you are looking to set up your SG to be a joy to play effortlessly, looking to modify your guitar's electronics, or simply want to know more history of the SG and those talented musicians who propelled it into the spot light, the Gibson SG Manual is a must have for SG owners. The author takes us back to the SG's humble beginnings as a replacement for the Gibson Les Paul, and shows the various different versions within the SG line up. Details about maintenance procedures, set up, and some simple modifications are explained in detail for Gibson and Epiphone SG guitars.

  • A great read and "treasure trove" of info !!!!! BUY IT !!!!!!!!!!!!!

Just received it in the mail and am about a 1/4 of the way thru and can say I am thoroughly delighted w/ it. A lo of useful info on the history of the SG, , useful info on what to look for in a used/ new one, maintenance tips w/lots of color pictures. etc.. If you are familiar w/ the Haynes automotive repair manuals ( which I have relied on for 40+ years), this series is a great trove of info, about the SG and its Gibson ( and Epiphone) variants). From SG Juniors to EDS 1275 double necks and most variants in between, this hard cover book has it all !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Great book

If you own a Gibson SG guitar, you need this book. Very informative.
