    Nice motherboard, but look out for bad capacitors!

    It's not just this model - almost every Biostar motherboard from that time period (socket 462, 478, 754, 939, and some 775) has brown electrolytic capacitors around the CPU (United Chemicon *KZG*) that like to go bad (bulged, domed, and/or leaking - look up "bad capacitors" on your favorite search engine for examples). Once the capacitors go bad, the motherboard becomes unstable and may even refuse to boot. This is the only reason I am giving this motherboard 4 stars and not 5. Otherwise, it's a wonderful board, just like many other Biostar motherboard from that period. It has lots of decent overclocking features and also the venerable nForce 3 chipset. Would be nice if it had more than 2 RAM slots, but that's not a problem with 512 MB and 1 GB DDR RAM sticks being dirt-cheap right ...
