    Works better than others

    When replacing our original remote, I didn't realize that the different models--which all look the same--would function differently. I tried a couple others and there was a lot of lag and it seemed like they didn't always connect with my DVR. I finally found out the original model #: RC23. There weren't any available on Amazon so I looked here on ebay and great luck, they're here! Very, very satisfied with the way it connects with our DVR. Model number matters!

    Directv RC23 Remote Control

    This is a wonderful product from DirecTv. This remote has a seemingly endless code library and also can search for codes if your device is not on the list! Fits well in your hand and the batteries last forever. I have two kids that are hard on remotes and I have yet to see one fail under these harsh conditions. These are extremely backwards compatible so I recommend one even for an older receiver.

    Directv rc23 remote control

    This is a fine remote, until you try to program it. Let me break it down Pros + slick design + button layout + range (works everywhere I have tried) Cons - will not control my TV (RCA 42 inch tube screen) - still will not control my TV (it really pisses me off) - its not the easiest remote to program all in all, it is nice, except it doesn't work with my tv

    I have had Directv for over 6 months and love the remotes they provide. They are easy to use and have lots of options.
