    The Big Din In India

This is a wonderful, classic, action/adventure movie in the old, Hollywood style. I had viewed this movie years ago and wanted to see it again. I have been buying a lot of Cary Grant movies lately and discovered just how many good movies he has made. This is one of his early ones as was "Topper" and "Bringing Up Baby". "Gunga Din" shows the wild & crazy side of Grant before he got smooth & sophisticated. It's a rousing, war movie and has a couple of other Hollywood biggies of the time in it. It's a well done production.

  • Great Classic Movie!

So funny & entertaining! They don’t make them like this anymore. Cary Grant is fantastic! Errol Flynn is a phenomenal actor! Great performances. Don’t pass this one up if you love the old movie!

  • Gungadin Great movie

Gungadin was my favorite movie as a child. Now at age 93 I loved seeing it again. For an hour or so it made me feel young again

  • A movie on which the sun will never set

First off, I decided to buy this picture because I had seen part of it on TCM and liked what I saw. It ranks right up with the original "The Four Feathers" for a British Empire yarn. And it is a yarn, even though it is (very loosely) based upon one of the most beloved poems of the modern age. Watch this picture for the fun of it. Watch it for the corny action sequences. Watch it and feel your heart beat faster as Sam Jaffe climbs the temple and sounds the warning that saves the British army from certain defeat. Don't try to apply modern mores of race and political correctness, because you won't find 'em in this flick. Finally, watch it for the humour that permeates every part of what could have been a pretty grim story. I also have a suspicion that ...
