My wife Mrs Kathleen Mealor writes: Vera Lynn is graciously attired as befits the warmth and sincerity of her performance. We particularly appreciated the fact that we could understand every word she sang. She displays a wonderful sense of rhythm and is very ably supported by Geoff Love and his Orchestra and by her special guest the marvellous George Shearing. Her rapport and performance with Mr Shearing are a joy to watch and listen to. She gives a masterclass in how to put over a popular song.Would that there were more like her! Thames TV are to be congratulated on this excellent presentation.
